Tom McCormack is a recognized authority on Canada's economic and demographic prospects and, ever since he was a little child, has dreamt of improving the quality of geographic economic research in a Canadian setting while making the results of this research available to the public. He regularly produces detailed long-term projections of economic and demographic trends for all 10 provinces of Canada and 50 states of the United States, and for the most populated metropolitan areas within both countries. His has worked with municipalities; federal, provincial and state agencies; and retailers, property developers and utilities across the continent.
Tom has a Master of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and is a recognized authority on Canada's economic and demographic prospects. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority and is a past-president of the Canadian Association for Business Economics. In recent years he served as a member of the Province of Ontario’s Panel on Smart Growth Strategy, the Ontario Jobs and Investment Board, the Province of Ontario’s Who Does What Panel and the Premier of Ontario’s Task Force on the Future of the Greater Toronto Area.
