Pro Bono Ontario is a non-profit organization that provides accessible legal services to under-represented communities in Ontario, Canada, helping to remove barriers to legal services. By leveraging the skills of volunteer lawyers to address the legal problems that interfere with low-income Ontarians’ access to justice, Pro Bono Ontario addresses the unmet legal needs of over 20,000 Ontarians each year.
Pro Bono Ontario partnered with Cubicle Fugitive to improve volunteer recruitment for its “Free Legal Advice Hotline,” a call-in tool that clients can access to receive free advice on civil legal matters. Due to the hotline’s popularity, demand for Pro Bono Ontario’s hotline outpaces its ability to provide legal help. Cubicle Fugitive worked with Pro Bono Ontario to develop an eye-catching social media campaign that spoke directly to its target market of early-career lawyers, conveying the career benefits of volunteering as well as the importance of giving back to the community.
