Daoust Vukovich LLP: Holiday Card Design

Daoust Vukovich LLP is a boutique law firm in Toronto known for its high-quality legal services in commercial leasing, real estate, and litigation. Having previously partnered with the firm on numerous projects, including a website redesign and a custom tradeshow booth, the team turned to Cubicle Fugitive to reimagine its annual holiday cards as something fun, fresh, and unexpected.

The goal was to provide a creative spin on a commonplace tradition that would resonate with both internal team members and external recipients—something original, memorable, and never done before. In 2023, we delivered a playful and nostalgic take on the classic school class photo, featuring two side-by-side versions: one with current headshots of the firm’s lawyers and partners, and the other with childhood photos of the same individuals. The concept was an instant hit with the team and offered clients a lighthearted, personal holiday greeting.

Building on that success, the 2024 holiday card brought the team together again, this time in a multi-storey apartment building. Each lawyer appeared in their own window, holding a unique item of their choosing, from skis and snow globes to golf clubs and Christmas trees. The result was a lively snapshot of the team’s personality and camaraderie.

The concepts struck the right balance between professional and playful, something the firm values in its holiday cards. By taking the time to understand the firm's culture and sense of humour, we delivered cards that delighted the team, stood out from the typical seasonal greeting, and reinforced the personal connections that define the Daoust Vukovich brand.
