Chaitons LLP: Stationery Design and Business Cards

In 2020, the firm was looking to update their brand and image. Having worked with Chaitons LLP on their brand strategy, content, and website redesign in 2014, they approached Cubicle Fugitive to help.

As part of the project we refined the firm’s wordmark and simplified the overall logo design. We also incorporated a striking new blue to the firm’s already distinguishable green. With a desire to create an extremely minimalist new website that still felt approachable and warm, we sought to create a new design detail that could be carried across all of the firm’s collateral—including their new stationery.

To create a bright and punchy business card, we applied the firm’s new blue colour and abstract patterning on the back of the card and the result is distinct and memorable.

The firm’s brand is based upon the firm’s ability to bring together the right people, resources, and issues of a matter to solve complex problems. Always able to get the heart of an issue, the lawyers cut through excessive legalese and extraneous information to craft effective business solutions. With this in mind, the abstract intersecting lines of the firm’s refreshed brand came to life. The delicate pattern is found throughout the firm’s new website and stationery. It signifies the firm’s ability to provide perspective and clarity for even the most challenging legal conundrum.

Collaborating with the firm’s long-time printer, we created a suite of new stationery including printed business cards, letterhead, envelopes, and note cards as well as an electronic version of the letterhead and email signature. To create a bright and punchy business card, we applied the firm’s new blue colour and abstract patterning on the back of the card and the result is distinct and memorable. Balance is achieved on the front of the card, electing for a crisp and professional standard white background to feature key contact information. Occasionally, the firm commits to send communications with a personal touch. Together, we created a versatile and professional note card to be sent out to colleagues, partners, and current and potential clients.

As a result of the partnership, we achieved meaningful stationery not exclusively from the design details, but also the paper selection. Classic Crest papers are luxurious and offer a strong, consistent print production.
