Lowenstein Sander: Partner Retreat
Project
Lowenstein Sandler LLP, a nationally recognized firm with over 350 lawyers across five U.S. offices, is recognized for its forward-thinking approach, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering commitment to client service. After partnering with Cubicle Fugitive on a previous design initiative—the firm’s PowerPoint one-sheets—Lowenstein Sandler approached our team once again to support one of their most significant internal events: their 2025 Partner Retreat.
Hosted in Denver, the retreat centered on the theme of “Connection” and carried the event tagline “Vision 2030: Power of Partnership.” The firm sought creative direction and comprehensive visual assets that would bring this theme to life in a way that felt elevated, cohesive, inspiring, and distinct from their everyday brand, while still aligned with their strategic goals and identity.
Our work began with in-depth discussions with the firm’s marketing team to fully understand their goals: fostering collaboration, strengthening culture, aligning around future strategy, and inspiring partners with a shared sense of purpose. From there, our team explored three thematic creative directions, ultimately landing on a concept that resonated deeply with both the firm’s objectives and the retreat’s Denver setting.
The retreat materials came together as a seamless, sophisticated, and highly intentional experience—one that felt both distinct and unmistakably Lowenstein.
The Chosen Concept: A Collective Journey Forward
The selected theme—exploration and journey—captured the essence of Lowenstein Sandler’s forward momentum and collaborative spirit. Drawing inspiration from Denver’s dramatic natural geography, the visual approach incorporated mountain peaks, horizon lines, starry night skies and winding trails, symbolizing ambition, progress, and the shared path ahead.
This concept positioned the retreat as a moment of reflection and recommitment: a pause along the trail where partners could reconnect, align, and look forward to the firm’s 2030 vision. It was inspirational, uplifting, and motivational, blending vintage ruggedness with modern clarity to create an aesthetic that felt grounded, resilient, and unified.
Bringing the Experience to Life
Over the months that followed, Cubicle Fugitive worked hand in hand with the Lowenstein team to develop a complete suite of visual assets for the retreat. We coordinated every moving part, kept timelines tightly organized, and prepared all materials for print to ensure seamless production and delivery. This collaborative process ensured that every component felt intentional, cohesive, and aligned with the firm’s vision.
The final deliverables included:
- Email banners and communications materials
- App graphics and digital interface assets
- Extensive event signage across the hotel and meeting spaces
- Table signage, trivia cards, and session boards
- AI photobooth creative assets
- Podium signage and pillar wraps
- Pop-up banners
- Name tags, paddles for games, and hotel key card sleeves
- Custom-printed pillows and tablecloths
- Postcards and additional event collateral
The visual system leaned into deep blues, burnt orange, teal, and yellow, colours inspired by the Denver landscape and reflective of the metaphorical journey at the heart of the retreat. Key imagery included night skies, silhouetted paths, mountain ranges, and combined Denver city–mountain skylines, all reinforcing the narrative of shared exploration and upward momentum.
