McMaster University Child Life Studies Programme (CLSP) is a new Post Graduate degree beginning in the fall of 2016 and is the first of its kind in Canada. It is offered by the school in response to recent government mandates (previously an Undergraduate Program). CLSP was looking for a new website that is clean, modern and aesthetically appealing, while also adhering to the McMaster brand and new look of many Health Sciences’ departments.
Students learn about pediatric psychosocial assessment and interventions, critically examine ethical issues, and apply theoretical knowledge and patient and family-centred care principles to diverse pediatric clinical settings. Students also learn the foundations of clinical research, engage in critical reflection, and incorporate the appraisal of evidence to improve reasoning and clinical decision-making skills.
When the department looked to create a new, interactive and modern website for their program, they contacted McMaster partner Cubicle Fugitive. The website has a new clean and modern design with colourful homepage and inside page banners showcasing the students and campus, as well as social media integration, related news, program information and admission requirements.
Built on a CMS, the new website features quick links for visitors to easily find what they are looking for and responsive design so that users can effortlessly access the department's new website by computer, tablet, or mobile device.
